Back in September, I shared with you my product review of the CrossTrain ID Bracelet. I’d been super-fortunate, and I had won it on Run Eat Repeat‘s fab blog.
I wouldn’t say I’m usually lucky: I seldom win raffles or anything like that, but this year I also won the ‘guess the number of midges in the jar’ comp at Tarbet Seafood Festival back in July:
My prize was champagne, sweeties and skin-so-soft to stop the midges biting! They say that the best things come in threes. And I’ve won my third comp of the year: a £50 voucher to spend at the wonderful Pink Poodle Boutique which is located in the West End of Glasgow. I’ve been shopping there since I was at University, waaay back last century, and they have all kinds of quirky, pretty gifts and treats for sale. 🙂 Here’s how I found out:
It’s also my third FaceBook competition win: in the past, I won six cupcakes and a Modalu handbag.

Congrats! I can usually come close to winning my age group in 5k’s, but it depends on the competition. I hate it when I skip a race and then look up the results and realize how well I would’ve placed! You never know!

I’ve won two prizes this year… $100 worth of gifts from Nathan Gear and a 2 free entries to the 2014 Blues Marathon in Mississippi. I had to give up the marathon registrations because I couldn’t afford the trip. But it was exciting to win. Hopefully we’ll all be lucky in 2014. 😀
Wow! The Nathan gift would be really handy! Shame you couldn’t use the free race entry, but something like that can end up as an expensive win!

I won a Foosball table two months after I got one for Christmas from a BP Garage. And a GPS from Super Sport for sending in the correct man of the match for a rugby game! Such a lovely surprise when you find out! 🙂

I love winning …. although I am normally not so lucky, and I can’t think of one thing I have won lately! I keep trying though 🙂 I do win at sarcasm competitions with my friends 🙂 Does that count for something? lol
