This time last year, @TheWelshWookie and I celebrated Hallowe’en by taking part in the Zombie Night Run. It was tough, but lots of fun. It was dark, wet, eery and very, very muddy!
We weren’t able to take part in this year’s event, which is a pity. Hope we make it in 2015.
Do you have any seasonal races planned this year?
This weekend, I’ve been very conscious about how busy I’ve been lately. I’ve had jam-packed weekends, lots of trips and journeys, really full work days where I haven’t had time to stop.
And, I’ve been missing running, missing taking that time for me to get out, clear my head, and chill.
Even when I’ve had ‘down time’, it’s been filled with activities, planning and sorting.
So, I’m going to gift myself some time. Some time for moi.
And, hopefully, that will include pulling on my trainers, too 🙂
Today, my mum and dad celebrate their Ruby wedding anniversary.
Seven kids and seven grandkids later….. still looking good!
This week I’ve had many reasons to be happy. Here’s some of them.
1. @TheWelshWookie and I have a lunch date planned for tomorrow – I’m looking forward to it!
2. I’ve been tinkering with my tablet PC, which I’ve had for over a year, and found lots of features I didn’t know it had. Fantastic!
3. It’s been a week of candles and blankets – very autumnal.
4. A surprise delivery through the post cheered me up mid week.
5. @TheWelshWookie and I have booked our trip to Coventry at Christmas. And we managed to book it at a bargain price.
What are your reasons to be happy this week?
I’ve had a wonderful week away: we saw Miss Saigon in London, spent a few very busy days in Disneyland Paris, travelled back to Scotland via the Eurostar and then the overnight Sleeper train services.
On Friday, my BFF, Pauline, married the wonderful Gavin, and we had a fantastic day with great food, champagne, fun and plenty of dancing.
Now, it’s back to routine, and back to shifting the pounds I’ve gained, and regaining the fitness I’ve lost!
So, to say ‘farewell’ to my holiday, here’s one of my favourite Walt Disney quotes:
Well, it’s been another busy weekend for me: on Saturday morning, I ran the Great Scottish Run family mile with my sis-in-law Stacey, and my nephews Ryan and Aidan. It was really great to see lots of families enjoying the day.
Aidan, who has just turned four, ran the whole mile- he did an amazing job!
The boys also met Ross Murdoch, the commonwealth gold medallist swimmer, from Team Scotland: he was so lovely – he autographed the boy’s t-shirts, and as we crossed the start line, Aidan got a high-5 from him!
In the afternoon, we had my bestie Pauline’s Hen Do. We had cocktails, dinner, champers, and lots of fun & games. And we partied until the wee small hours – I had a ball! 😀
I’ve just finished packing for our trip to Disneyland Paris this weekend….. I cannot wait. For now, here’s some Monday Motivation:
