It’s a wild, wet and windy Wednesday. So what do you do?
1. Man up, and go for a run: get blown around the harbour, soaked to the bone, but feel smug and thaw out when you get home.
2. Do some indoor exercise: strength training. Yoga. Fitness DVD.
3. Do those stretches you know are good for you, but you neglect. Foam roll.
4. Sit on the sofa and watch TV, listening to the rain battering on the window.
Can you guess which I did tonight?

I know what I wanted to do, number one (no jokes please!) But in the end I did number four, I’m guessing the same as you! In my defense, I’ve got a lot of aching in my knees/shins and calfs so my body is telling me it needs a rest.
Glad you opted for the rest (too 😉 )!
A rainy day for me means a fireplace and tea 🙂
That sounds great!
I did number four and now I’m reeaally wishing I’d done one! 😠
Just remind yourself that your body needs rest too 😉
Right now I keep choosing to rest regardless off the day:)
That’s totally understandable, Tia, you have so much going in rest is what you need x
Running in light rain is one of my favorites! But if it’s storming, you’re not being tough – you’re bein arrogant. I’m glad you made the choice to rest!
Oddly I like running in the rain – I don’t know why. Snow and ice on the other hand, no thanks.
It’s more the thought of getting out there: when I’m actually running in the rain I love it!
I am one of those weirdos that likes running in the rain. It reduces the amount of other pavement users, and also puts the boy racers off of coming out and poking fun at me. All up for some rain! I’m just not so keen on the cold water down my neck when I get home, or the knots in my hair 🙂
I totally agree! I just struggle more on those days to get out of the door
I like the treadmill, so I’d still run, just in front of the tv while watching something fun.
I may be a treadmill owner very soon…. Watch this space!
