Hello, have you had a good bank holiday? If you’ve been working, I hope it has been ok. I’ve been off today, and so I’ve caught up on the housework I skipped this weekend. It always feels good when it’s done, doesn’t it?
I’ve just been to Clubbercise, had dinner, and I’m going to round the long weekend off with another dip in the hot tub.
I feel like I have made progress this week- I stayed on track with my fitness and wellbeing goals. I’m hoping that this week will be equally as successful. I hope yours is too 🙂
It’s freeeeeeezing out there! Brrr! The hailstones have been fairly battering down today. Mustn’t complain, though. We’ve had a great few weeks of mild, sunny weather.
Well, here we are – four days’ blogging in a row 🙂
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read my recent posts, and those who have offered positive comments and support following my wee admission yesterday. It’s good to know that I’m doing the right thing. Last night, I organised my ‘return to running’ plan for the next few weeks. I’ve bolted together a 5K, 10K and half marathon training plan to coincide with the Color Run, the inaugural Carradale 10K, culminating in the GNR. And, I’m actually a little excited to get back to it in a more structured and sensible way.
I’ve started tonight, with a return to Clubbercise after the Easter break, then missing last week’s class. It was GREAT! There were new routines, including one to ‘Uptown Funk’ and another to Scooter’s ‘Logical’:
It was brilliant! 😀
Here’s my soft, fluffy-pink approach to this week. It matches my mood………
Here we are already, another week has rattled around and my holiday is over. Today’s work day was longer than planned, meaning that I missed my Clubbercise class. Boo!
But the past week has been so busy- winding up with a weekend of visitors including five of my nephews, loads of football and sandy beaches 😊
I had planned on blogging about my Anniversary weekend but just haven’t had time. Nor have I had time to catch up on your blogs- or on actual running either!
Congratulations to all of those who conquered marathons this weekend: I hope the aches aren’t too bad today.
While you’ve been running, @TheWelshWookie and I have been celebrating our first wedding anniversary: first, at a Partick Thistle football match 😳, then on a trip to Edinburgh which involved gin tasting, a ghost tour through the the city vaults and a graveyard, a tour around Mary King’s Close then Edinburgh Castle. Phew! No running, but plenty of walking for us. We even visited the coffee shop where JK Rowling wrote much of the early Harry Potter books 🙂
I’ll share some pics when I’m back home. For now, we’re on the train heading back to Glasgow, for a spot of impromptu babysitting.
I’m on a roll so far with my 5×50 challenge, I rowed and walked for day one; and I’m counting my Clubbercise class for today. I’m sorry to just pop in for a brief post today: gotta go!
Meanwhile:
I’ll try to pop by later in the week if I can- I have a roller coaster week ahead.
Hello. Sorry for my lack of posts this week, but it’s been a tough week. Unfortunately, it hasn’t left me much time for blogging, nor for much else.
Having said that, here’s another new week which I’ve started with a stressful day at work followed by a great endorphin-releasing Clubbercise class.
Boy, did I need that!
I seem to be really out of step (pardon the pun) with my running. I think it’s a mental barrier, but it’s holding me back more than I’d like. Do you ever get weeks where you just can’t get past the Toxic 20? And it’s really draining? Well, yeah, that’s been me.
And now it’s crunch time: get back on track this week or jeopardise my next half marathon- the Mull of Kintyre.
